FAQs
The duration of a loft conversion depends on the work required, but we find a typical loft conversion is usually complete within 8 to 10 weeks. Each loft conversion is different, therefore we can give clearer guidance on timescales once we have more details about your project.
The cost of a loft conversion is completely dependent on the type and size of the project. As every loft is unique it is very hard for us to put a final figure, however, a loft conversion can cost anything from £45,000 upwards depending on the size of the project. Whatever work you require, we’ll provide a highly competitive quote. If our quote is outside your budget, we are happy to look at where we can trim some cost and make it more affordable for you, without compromising on the finish. Just ask! We split your payments into separate instalments for your ease.
No, it is not possible to convert some lofts. During your consultation, we will advise on all the loft conversion options available to you. Simply call us on 0203 603 9777 to book a consultation, or alternatively use our contact form here.
We do everything from design to plastered finish. All our quotes can be tailored to suit your needs. We have a range of professional bathroom tilers, professional decorators and carpet/flooring suppliers who would be happy to provide a quote once the build is complete. Our clients provide their own sanitary ware which is then installed by us, other than that, everything is included within our quote.
Yes, the price is fixed. Once the scope of work is agreed, we do accurate calculations and provide you with a fixed quote so you know exactly what the final cost is. The only thing that might affect the cost is if we uncover an unexpected problem while the job is underway, for example, if we need to change the boiler, lift floors to move pipework or upgrade the fuse board. If this happens, we will re-quote in advance of doing any extra works. If you decide you would like more than what was originally quoted, this would come at an extra cost.
We will deal with all Building Regulations and planning issues for you. We’ll let you know if you need to get a Party-Wall Agreement and whether your project falls under permitted development or whether you’ll have to get planning permission. With years of experience in the local area, our tried and trusted architects will research other applications and abide by the council’s guidelines in order to get your application approved.
A party wall is an adjoining wall between two properties. A Party Wall Agreement is an agreement that is needed before we start work at your property, this is done between you and your neighbour(s), which protects both parties when work is being carried out on a party wall. You would only require a Party Wall Agreement if you live in a semi-detached or terraced property and share an adjoining wall with another property.
You need to do some shopping! If we are installing a new bathroom for you, we will require you to buy the bathroom suite you want and we’ll fit it for you.
We recommend you discuss any planned building work with your neighbours, especially if your house is terraced or semi-detached. This helps maintain a good relationship with them and avoids hassle while the work is in progress.

We do everything we can to convert your loft without disturbing you. Some customers tell us they didn’t even know we were there! We will fit a false ceiling in your existing hallway, erect scaffolding and gain access to your loft from the outside. All the dirty work is done above the false ceiling, so you get neither dust nor mess in your house. The only time we break through the false ceiling, is when we are ready to put in the new staircase. What’s more, by working from the outside, you won’t have any builders walking through your home.
